Renovation Project

One of the building legislations at Quraish Street in Downtown Amman is that the main elevation of the building should have pointed arches with a specific shape and dimensions. So, during the design of a project there, the problem was that the resulting façade was visually heavy, and this did not fit with the function and the user experience and the desired sense of welcoming in the project. The use of materials had a great impact on solving the problem; Wired mesh was used in the façade and its arches, with climbing plants.

The result was not only serving the user experience, but also made the building changing  between day and night; The wired mesh is visible in the morning, but in the evening, the lights from the inside of the building make the mesh almost invisible

The project is a renovation and expansion project of an existing building on the site.
